Important Fall Season Registration Information!
The table below shows the status of each of the divisions. Once divisions are full or closed, applicants will be placed on a wait list.
Currently, all divisions with the exception of Boys and Girls 5U are waitlisted. If you wish to be placed on the wait list, please register online and send an email to Bob Caseres at email@example.com and Alan Lem at firstname.lastname@example.org and include your child(ren)'s name and division(s) in your email to ensure your position on the waitlist. You will not be charged unless a spot becomes available.
Before registering, please be aware that AYSO has made two important changes that affect registration for the 2017 Fall Season, especially for returning AYSO players.
AYSO age divisions are now based on the calendar year, rather than school year. Your child's age division will now be based on his/her age in 2018 (e.g. if your child is 10 years old on 12/31/2018, s/he will be in the 10U division). See the chart below to assist you in determining your child's division.
Registration starting from the Fall 2017 season is now at a new website: http://ayso.bluesombrero.com/region10. The old eAYSO registration website will no longer accept registrations.
Because these changes directly affect registration, please visit and read through the 2017 Fall Registration page prior to proceeding with registration. This page also includes important information including costs, deadlines, and walk-in registration requirements.
Important! Changes to age group divisions coming in Fall 2017!
AYSO, in compliance with mandates set forth by the US Soccer Federation, will be transitioning from school year age to calendar year age for determining player age divisions starting from the Fall 2017 season. This means that age groups will no longer be based on an August 1st to July 31st calendar; rather the age groups will be based on a January 1st to December 31st calendar.
Age groups will be determined based on the player's age as of December 31st of the following year. For example, a player born in 2008 will be 10 years old as of December 31, 2018. As such, that player's age group division will be 10U for Fall 2017.
Please refer to the chart above (clicking on the chart will open a readable and printable pdf document) to determine your child's age group for the upcoming season.
AYSO introduces rule changes as part of its Player Development Initiative (PDI)!
AYSO has implemented rule changes starting in 2017 as part of its Player Development Initiative. The rule changes affect divisions 6U to 12U and are designed to promote build up in play and enhance players' technical skills.
Some of the changes include:
- No throw-ins in ages 6U and 7U
- Elimination of goalkeeper punts in 8U to 12U
- Introduction of a build-out line in 9U and 10U and associated changes to offside, goal kicks, and goalkeeper actions after possessing the ball in his/her hands.
Details of the Player Development Initiative (PDI) can be found here.
Another Successful Opening/Picture Day is in the Books!
