COVID-19 Protocols

LA County Rules for Youth Sports as They Apply to Our AYSO Season:

If your child is sick, s/he should not attend practice or games.

If your child tests positive for Covid, please let your coach know. Your child may NOT practice or play in games until s/he feels better, has no fever for at least 24 hours (without fever reducers) AND either tests negative (day 6-10 after symptom onset) or waits for at least 10 days (no test necessary at this point). Because soccer is an outdoor sport, there is no requirement to mask once s/he can return to play.

Outdoor exposures are not considered close contacts, so other players on the team have no requirement to mask, isolate, or test.

If your child has a close contact to Covid (household contact or school contact, for example) s/he may continue to practice and play IF s/he remains asymptomatic and takes a home test on day 3, 4, or 5 after exposure and that test is negative. S/he is NOT required to wear a mask. If s/he develops symptoms at any time, s/he may not practice or play until s/he feels better and has a negative test.

If you are unsure of what to do, please feel free to reach out to Michelle Catanzarite.
