2017 Fall Registration Information

Dear Players/Parents,

We are the Palos Verdes region (Region 10) of the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO).  We provide year-round recreational and competitive youth soccer programs that are enjoyed by four-year olds (5U division) all the way up to 19 year olds (19U).  We welcome players from the Palos Verdes Peninsula and surrounding communities.  We are a 100% volunteer organization. 

AYSO National has implemented two important changes for the upcoming 2017 season.

The first change is a change to the method of determining age divisions. AYSO ages are now based upon the calendar year (January 1 to December 31). The age that your child will be in 2018 determines his/her age division for 2017.

The second change is to the electronic registration of players and volunteers. Starting from the Fall 2017 season, all player and volunteer registrations will be transitioned over to http://ayso.bluesombrero.com/region10. eAYSO will no longer be used for any registrations.

How Do I Register For 2017 Palos Verdes AYSO Fall Soccer?

All players (both new and returning) must go to http://ayso.bluesombrero.com/region10 and register and pay online by credit card. We can no longer accept checks or cash.

As explained below, some players can completely register online at http://ayso.bluesombrero.com/region10. Some players need to take their registration form and attend an in-person registration on April 29th or May 20th.

Which Players Are Eligible For Complete Online 2017 Palos Verdes AYSO Fall Registration?

All returning players in divisions 10U through 19U can register at http://ayso.bluesombrero.com/region10 and pay online by credit card to complete their registration without attending an in person registration. This is all you need to do to pay and register. However, if the player is requesting to play up a division, you must let us know by writing it at the top of the player form with the requested division and mailing the form to us at: Palos Verdes AYSO, PO Box 2302, PVP, CA 90274.

All returning HEAD Coaches in divisions 7U to 19U may also register wiithout attending an in person registration. All you need to do to pay and register. However, if the player is requesting to play up a division, you must let us know by writing it at the top of the player form with the requested division and mailing the form to us at: Palos Verdes AYSO, PO Box 2302, PVP, CA 90274 or to walk-in registration.

How Do I Pay Online By Credit Card?

You pay by credit card at http://ayso.bluesombrero.com/region10 after you complete the registration for all your children . If you are registering more than one child, you need to register all children first and then pay by credit card for all your children collectively so you can receive the sibling discount that is offered between March 20, 2017 and May 20th, 2017.

Which Players Must Attend An In-Person Registration For 2017 Palos Verdes Fall AYSO Soccer?

1) ALL players in the 5U and 7U divisions must register in person on April 29th or May 20th.

2) All players in the 7U to 9U divisions whose parent is NOT a returning head coach must register in person on April 29th or May 20th

3) All players who have NOT previously played in Palos Verdes AYSO must register in person on April 29th or May 20th

How Do I Register In Person?

All parents/players can register in person by 1) registering their children on http://ayso.bluesombrero.com/region10, 2) paying online by credit card, 3) printing a copy of the player registration form and the proof of credit card payment and 4) bringing both these forms to one of our in person registrations. If you are a 5U player or a new player in our region, you must also bring a copy of the birth certificate, passport, or other government ID for the player(s) that you are registering.

When and Where Are The In Person Registrations For 2017 Palos Verdes AYSO Fall Soccer?

1.       Saturday, April 29th, Noon to 4 pm, Hesse Park Community Center ("Hesse Park"), 29301 Hawthorne Blvd, RPV, EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT ($155 first child /$140 siblings)

2.       Saturday, May 20, Noon to 4 pm, Hesse Park, DISCOUNT ($185 first child /$170 siblings)

7U through 14U players registered after June 1 may be placed on a waiting list. These players will only be placed on a team if there are openings in their division. The regular Registration Fee after May 21 will increase to $240 with no sibling discount.

When Can I Start To Register On Line At http://ayso.bluesombrero.com/region10 and How Much Is Registration?

Fall registration for everyone begins on March 20, 2017 at http://ayso.bluesombrero.com/region10.

The price for registration for all players who register at http://ayso.bluesombrero.com/region10 and pay online by credit card between March 20, 2017 and April 30th, 2016 is $165 for the first child and $140 for each sibling.

The price for registration for all players who register at http://ayso.bluesombrero.com/region10 and pay online by credit card between May 1st, 2016 and May 31, 2016 is $185 for the first child and $170 for each sibling.

The price for registration for all players who register at http://ayso.bluesombrero.com/region10 and pay online by credit card after May 31, 2016 is $240 per player with no sibling discount. After May 31, the player is not guaranteed a spot on a team and will be placed on a waiting list. 

Remember:  make sure you register ALL your children first at http://ayso.bluesombrero.com/region10 and then pay by credit card collectively so you can receive the sibling discount (if you register by May 31, 2017)

How Do I Prepare a Player Registration Form?

The http://ayso.bluesombrero.com/region10 website provides simplified log in procedures and step-by-step instructions to guide you through the registration process for players and volunteers. If you registered your child last year at www.eayso.org and you enter your child's name identically into the new registration website, his/her eAYSO ID will be automatically transferred to the new registration site.

The information you enter at http://ayso.bluesombrero.com/region10 becomes your child's registration form, which is also his or her medical release.  Please make sure you enter accurately/update all contact information for both parents, all emergency contacts, the name of your child's school, and all e-mail addresses.

IMPORTANT!!: The online registration process will lead you through multiple pages. When you reach the page that displays the completed Player Registration Form and has a box at the top that provides instructions on electronic signatures, it is important that you scroll down, check the box marked "I agree to use an electronic signature", type in your name in the signature box, and click "Continue". Then you must click "Submit" on the bottom of the next page to submit the Player Application Form. After you have completed the steps to register all of your children, check the boxes of all of the children you have registered and click on Online Payments to pay the registration fee and complete the registration process.  

What Do I Bring to the In Person Registration?

1.   One printed copy of your player registration form for each child from http://ayso.bluesombrero.com/region10.

2.   One printed copy of your proof of credit card payment for all children from http://ayso.bluesombrero.com/region10 or from the email you receive from bluesombrero.com   If you are signing up multiple children, make sure you register all children first and then pay online for all children at the same time to receive the sibling discount.

3.   For players who have not played in Palos Verdes AYSO, you must bring proof of your child's age to an in person registration by a birth certificate, passport, or other government issued ID.

What Is Your Refund Policy?

All refunds for fall soccer must be requested by July 15, 2017. There are no refunds after July 15th.

Any refunds issued will have the AYSO National Fee of $17.50 deducted. This fee is non-refundable

What If I Need Help Registering Or If I have Questions?

All players/parents can come to our in person registrations on April 29th or May 20th for help. We will have computers and printers and volunteers to help you register and answer all your questions.

Can I Play Up Or Down A Division?

Players may play up one division only with the approval of the Regional Commissioner.  You must write this request to play up at the top of the player form with the requested division and submit to us or else we will not know about it.

No player may play down a division.
